How we list clinics
These rules apply to every clinic on TrichoTalk, whether or not it pays us for anything.

We don't rank clinics as "best"
The right clinic depends on your hair loss, donor area, goals and budget. A single "best" list can't capture that, and in practice those lists are often paid for. Instead we show every clinic's facts in the same format so you can compare.
Who can be listed
A clinic can appear on TrichoTalk if:
- It performs hair transplant surgery at a physical address in the city it is listed under.
- It publicly names, or tells us, the doctor or doctors who perform or supervise hair transplants.
- Nothing we find suggests surgery is performed without a registered medical practitioner.
We may remove or refuse a listing where we find misleading claims, unregistered practitioners, or serious unresolved patient safety concerns.
Profile statuses
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Unclaimed | We compiled the details from the clinic's own public website. We show the date and the source link. We have not verified them. |
| Claimed | The clinic has contacted us, confirmed it controls the profile and supplied corrections. Registration checks are pending. |
| Verified | We have checked medical council registration for each listed operating doctor against the NMC or State Medical Council register, and confirmed the address. |
Claiming and verification are free. Paying for anything does not speed them up or change the outcome.
What we show on a profile
- Named doctors, their qualifications as stated, and registration status
- Techniques offered
- Prices only where the clinic has published them, with the source
- Address, website and the date we last checked
- Any business relationship between TrichoTalk's operators and the clinic
We don't publish written patient testimonials or ratings on profiles at this stage, because we can't yet verify them.
Results photos and videos
Each clinic can show up to 5 result photos and 2 transformation videos. These rules apply to every item:
- It is supplied by the clinic, and every photo and video is labelled with the name of the clinic it came from.
- We publish it exactly as provided. We don't crop, retouch, edit or add music.
- The clinic confirms it holds the patient's written consent to publish, and that the image hasn't been edited to exaggerate the result.
- Results appear in the order the clinic chooses. Having more results does not change a clinic's position in city lists.
- We remove any item promptly if a patient withdraws consent or we find it misleading. Use the contact page to report one.
How lists are ordered
On city pages, clinics are ordered by verification status (verified, then claimed, then unclaimed), then alphabetically. That's it. Payment, enquiry volume and business relationships play no part.
Sponsored placements
A clinic may pay for a sponsored slot on a city page. Sponsored slots:
- are always labelled Sponsored,
- sit in a separate box above the editorial list,
- are limited to two per city page,
- do not change the clinic's position in the editorial list.
A clinic must be at least Claimed to buy a sponsored slot.
Corrections and removal
Clinics can correct their profile using the "Claim or correct this profile" form on the profile page. Patients or anyone else can report errors to us by email. We aim to review corrections within five working days.
