Visiting two or three clinics is the best protection against a poor result or an unfair price. Use the same questions everywhere so the answers are comparable. Take notes, or ask for the answers in writing.

About the doctor and team

  1. Who will plan my hairline, and what is their qualification?
  2. What is the operating doctor's medical council registration number?
  3. Who will extract the grafts and who will place them: doctor or technicians?
  4. Will the doctor be present for the whole procedure?

About my plan

  1. What Norwood stage am I, and is my hair loss still active?
  2. How many grafts do you recommend, and how did you estimate my donor capacity?
  3. Where will the hairline sit, and how will it look in 10 to 15 years?
  4. Which technique do you recommend for me, and why?
  5. Do I need medicines such as those for ongoing hair loss, and what are their side effects?

About the price

  1. Is the price per graft or a package? What if more or fewer grafts are extracted on the day?
  2. What is included: medicines, PRP or other add-ons, follow-up visits, washing sessions?
  3. Is GST included, and what is the refund or rescheduling policy?

About safety and aftercare

  1. What tests do you need before surgery, and will you check my existing conditions and medicines?
  2. What happens if I have an infection or a problem after surgery, and who do I call at night?
  3. Can I see 12-month results of patients with similar hair loss to mine?

After the consultations

Put the answers side by side. The clinic with the lowest price or the highest graft count is not automatically the best choice. Clear answers, a named and qualified surgeon, and a conservative long-term plan are better signals.
